Our Story

My husband Pierre and I (Katherine) come from Colombian origin; we individually migrated to the United States in search of better opportunities. My husband started his construction company in 2000, and I was working as a Project Manger. We met and started our family in 2006. My husband and I have dedicated ourselves to growing his company. My husband led the construction team and on-site operations, while I focused on standardizing new-upcoming project and procedures.

The challenges associated with the pandemic taught my husband and I many lessons. First, the only stable thing in life is change. Second, we needed to find strategies to adapt and strive during times of crisis. Third and most important, we needed help! During the pandemic, we expanded and took on larger projects with extensive square footage. We quickly realized that we would not be able to provide the quality of service we strive for, as a two-person team. We soon realized recruiting people took a lot of work; posting the job, finding the right talent, and training them was a costly and time-consuming task. We thought other business owners were facing similar challenges. That is where we had our Eureka moment. On a budget, my husband had a fantastic idea! Coming from a third-world country, my husband understood other people's struggles and lack of opportunities to pursue their passions and incredible talent. During our experience, we managed to bridge the gap between satisfying business owners' needs and giving people job opportunities. Our understanding of the importance of finding the right talent that fits company culture and training, led us to found Global Intelligent Links (GIL). Through GIL, we support other business owners, allowing them to focus on growing their businesses while generating new job opportunities for skilled individuals. Most importantly, we can help others in different countries, the same way someone once gave us that same opportunity to prove ourselves.

Despite the changes we have faced, we are so grateful this opportunity led us to find ways to help others by understanding business needs and offering skilled professionals, to help grow your business. As I mentioned before, my husband and I have been so blessed; that we are committed to giving back by empathizing and understanding those who, like us, seek open doors.
